I want to set up my FTP client

First, it should be installed on your machine (in case you do not have permissions to install, please refer to your local IT department).
While Medidata doesn’t prefer a particular product, the products listed below have worked successfully with our testing:
*FileZilla versions later than 3.0.10 including, are not compatible.
How to configure your FTP client (for a few of the most used FTP clients):
- Connect your installed FTP Client
- In the respective fields, enter the following:

- Site Name: your preference
- Server: server name should be provided in the initial account creation e-mail
- Username: as provided
- Password: as provided
- Anonymous: unchecked
- Port: 21 or 990
- Timeout: your preference
- Retries: your preference
- Retry On: your preference
- PASV: checked
- Connection: AUTH TLS SSL
- SSL Options: SSL listings checked; SSL transfer checked; Open SSL checked

- Login method: Normal

- Protocol type: FTP with TLS/SSL (AUTH TLS - Explicit)
- Port: 21 or 990
- Server type: Auto-detect
- Data connection type: Use PASV
- Transfer type: your preference
- Server timezone: No Offset (from the drop-down)
- Clear Data channel: unchecked
- Clear Command channel: unchecked
- Automatically detect: unchecked

Fetch 3.x

- Host name: server name provided in the account creation e-mail
- Username: as provided in the account creation e-mail
- Connect using: FTP with TLS/SSL
- Enable encryption: checked
- Password: as provided in the account creation e-mail
- Add to keychain: your preference
- Initial folder: your preference
- Port: 21 (port 990 connections are not supported by this client)
- Try to connect: your preference
