You'll find the “Follow” button on the far right of all sections and articles.
FAQs & Best Practices:
Q: What is the difference between following “New articles” and “New articles and comments”?
A: This feature allows you to control how often you get updates emailed to you.
We suggest the following Best Practice:
If you want to follow a section, such as our General Troubleshooting Articles pictured above, our recommendation is to choose “New articles.” Every time a new article is published in this section, you will get an email. This is also very useful for getting individual product information updates from our Release Notes and Known & Resolved Issues sections.
If you want to follow an article within a section, such as a specific product MCCs in Known & Resolved Issues), click on “New articles and comments.” Every time this article is updated, you will get an email.
TIP: We highly suggest you only "Follow / New articles and comments" on items that are of great interest to you so as to not overwhelm your inbox. Or set up an email filter that sends all CSC updates to its own folder.
Q: Do you have an article or section that I should follow regardless of what products I use?
A: Yes! Navigate and follow Medidata Platform Notifications by clicking “Follow / New articles.” Within this section, we highly suggest “Follow / New articles and comments” on our Service Alert Article.
Q: Can I change my following status from “Follow / New article” to “Follow / New articles and comments” and vice versa?
A: Yes! Click the “Follow” button within the section/article and adjust your selection using the drop-down menu.
Q: Can I unfollow?
A: Yes! In fact, there are two ways...
The quickest way is to click the button that says "Unfollow" (in the same location where you found "Follow").
The other way, which is recommended for larger content adjustments, is to click on “My activities” located in the drop-down menu under your profile in the upper right-hand corner.
Here you can track your tickets under “My activities” (Requests); however, this is also where you manage your followed content:
You will now see a complete list of everything that you already follow in CSC:
Sort what you are looking for using the drop-down under “Show all”:
From there, you can change your status for any article/section by using the drop-down menu under “Following”:
You can also click “Unfollow” and on the far right and the article will disappear from your queue and you no longer receive updates for that section/article. (If the unfollow happened in error, navigate back to the section/article and click "Follow.")
